The Heroine In Us

As women, we hold many roles in life. We are all someone’s child, grandchild, possibly sister, mother, wife, significant other or caregiver. The list can go on and on. In today’s society we are required to function in many different capacities and be good at all of them. We want to succeed, be all that we can be, and more. For many of us we wear an invisible “S” underneath our shirt, standing for superwoman or supermom.  The demand is there and we respond willingly. It’s a natural instinct that has developed and is deep rooted within us.

Since I love to write about superheroes, females in particular, I’ve decided to dedicate a blog specifically to the female heroes known as heroines. Every week I’m going to write about a heroine, fictional or real. Since I love Wonderwoman, I’ll start with her next week. In the meantime, I’d like to know who is your favorite heroine, fictional or real and why?
